This information is for the people who don’t make money online and who would like to.
My name is Shaun Baird and for the last 20 years I have been a serial optimist who starts businesses, joins MLM’s, looks at business opportunities, seeks out anything to do with “being a boss” or working for myself.
I’ve investigated get rich quick schemes, franchises and dabbled at most things online that promise quick riches,
The purpose of this post is to reignite the passion within you.
If you’ve ever had that urge, whether it’s a tiny fleeting thought, or a heart pulsing desire to “make it big” then I understand you, and believe in you.
You are most certainly not alone in wanting to be your own person.
I want to help you get to your first $5 online, and then show you how you can simply duplicate what you just did so that it turns and grows into $5000 per month.
I also want to point out that this must be done through generating a “passive income”. Not only that, it needs to be a long term passive income.
Ok, now that’s the waffle, hype, fluff and filler, and a quick introduction out of the way, lets say we begin eh?
I know my time is busy, I’m, sure you’ve got better things to be doing than reading about what this crazy dude called Shaun is up to.
If you weren’t already aware there is a distinct difference between a passive income and an income created through working at a job.
After the job finishes and you go home your income stops dead in it’s tracks.
After you’ve created a passive income the income keeps coming when you go home, and continues on pretty much indefinitely.
How would you like it if I rolled a single coin to you once a day? Would it make you rich? Could it pay your bills?
No? Hope not.
Now, how about if I rolled 3000 coins towards you all at the same time and did the same thing every day.
Sure it’s going to get messy and a pain in the head to count, but heck, if you get to keep it, that’s nice money for free right?
So, build a website and figure out how to make that website send you a coin a day.
What about the beauty of MLM?
Heck! I know a lot about MLM. I mean a LOT…
I must have spent 10 years actively pursuing it, and reaching success at times. I’ve got the tapes and the books and actually “talk a good talk”, often surprising even myself at what I know.
However the reason I never stuck at it, or all the other things is because like most people I had flitted from one thing to another when I hit an obstacle.
The obstacle could have been anything at all. It could have been a problem with marketing, a fear of cold calling, an ability to deal with conflicts.. anything.
You know, a family member (who is a successful printer) once told me that I should just “keep trying all the things” until I find one I could do.
I saw the merit in that, as it also dealt with the notion of getting right back up if you fell at a hurdle.
Now, the good thing with MLM is if you recruited 20 people then some would be bad, some ok and some great, with some doing nothing at all.
The money still comes in though, which is nice, but for this “privilege” you still have the “benefit” of your recruits constantly calling you, asking you to attend meetings with prospects, going to seminars, going out leafleting etc etc.
The passive income with MLM still comes at a price. The price is worth paying if you reach the dizzying 5 and 6 figure monthly earners status, however it’s worth noting that there are still a vast majority of people in MLM who never hit the big time, but still have to deal with all the “privileges” of doing MLM.
There is another way you’ll be glad to hear
The way I prefer to make passive income is through building small websites (without any skills I must add).
I figure out how to build a website in a day, add a way of getting money out of it, and sussing out how to drive free organic traffic to it (none of that paid traffic for me, no no no).
Then I promote that site until it hits around $1 a day or more in “regular income” and build a second site.
All I do is rinse and repeat.
I’ve got a small army of websites quietly pumping out money every day whether I stay in bed or go and sit in the garden.
Anyway, enough of the waffle.
You can, and you can EASILY do the same (yes, I really do mean it). I did it with nothing more than a deep “heart wrenching” desire to get my life sorted out.
Yeah, it was time to sort out the men from the boys.
Ahem…
Now you could if you wanted make $5 quickly buy selling your old socks or knee supports or combs on eBay (joke), although they do say its a place where you can sell anything.
Maybe you’ll get the bug and set up your own eBay sock selling empire.. who knows…
What happens though when one day you want to go on holiday for 10 months or you are unable to get online for 10 months do to any circumstance?
Your income goes…
No more passive income… slaps on the wrists, needing to get a job, talking with creditors… it really isn’t all that pretty.
So, let me introduce to you to the one thing that has changed my life. It’s the one thing that has forced me to cancel all my memberships at other sites, close down all my websites and get rid of all other distractions.
Ok, ok.. ok. ok…. OK! STOP Before you go running off at the “notion” that “oh it’s one of those stupid blogging things”.. “huh I’m sick of all this online BS”.
Just before you click away, please please please ask yourself why you read this report?
It is probably because you aren’t where you are meant to be.
Even if you’ve tossed this idea aside in the past, I can guarantee it’s probably been cast aside based on some half-weight thought in your mind that it’s either too hard, time consuming, or doesn’t work, or you cant write etc etc etc.
There are always reasons given by people as to why they shouldn’t do this.
I can’t stop you, but I want to help stop you going round in circles.
Do you REALLY want to earn $5000 a month (that’s better read if you say out loud FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS each and every month… passively) ?

If you can type, click a single button and generally work your way around the basics of a computer you will be fine – as long as you have that all important “raging fire” deep within. Think of the Rocky song “Hearts on fire.. strong desire.. rage is deep within”…
If you enjoy writing emails to friends then I guarantee you will really love doing this. Not because it involves emailing friends because it doesn’t but it does involve you doing some general typing so that you can write snippets of information (I promise nothing technical.. all plain and simple).
If you want to earn a passive income online then please, manage to trust me, if that is in any way possible, when I tell you that this blogging stuff works… extremely well, and can be deeply lucrative.

Well we’ve just emerged from the other side of the Easter holiday period – 4 days of officially “no work” for many people here in the Uk.
Ironically most revenues have dropped “all that time”, as have the number of traffic visits. I’m sure when there are a lot more sites up, lots more daily traffic that this will still mean a drop in income, but will not affect the “minimum I need” on a daily basis too much – as long as I aim for way over that “minimum – i.e. double should be my, and everyones targets to shoot for. Why not?
During this week, last week and most probably next week I am not providing regular daily updates because of the offline commitments I am working through.
Still on the 1st April had a rather interesting day when one site pulled in over £1.55 on it’s own.
Then there has been next to nothing.
Today though had another 17pence to add to the pot.
While my dream means I want to shout out that I made another $200, $300 and more, it’s important to recognise the small increments and “ongong progress made in small bite sized chunks”.
So the totals “for this month” so far, are:
Adsense: £1.72
Clickbank: £0.00
Amazon: £0.00
I have put a few new backlinks to a couple of sites though, and have launched another new site, so progress IS being made, just frustratingly, not yet at the rate I am desperate to achieve… couple of weeks Shauny… couple of weeks…!

Well the whole of February yielded £4.80 adsense and £0.89 in amazon income , pus a recurring (passive) renewal of income from a referral at wordpress goldmine earning me £6.57 for a total of
Adsense: £4.80
Amazon £0.89
Clickbank: £0.00
Overall “site building” passive income is: £5.69
Factor in the wordpress goldmine affiliate income and we get: WPGM: £6.57
Overall Total for Feb is £12.26
Now I want to move on to March.
A month where virtually nothing has been done as it is a period in time where I am leaving my job, emptying a relatives house, setting up an accountant and writing sales pages for others.
Lets see what I earned from “no extra effort” in site building.
Adsense: £7.08
Clickbank: £16.75
Amazon : £3.26
That’s a passive site building total of £27.09
That’s an increase of 376% (new amount, minus old amount = difference between the two figures = £21.40. £21.40 divided by last months amount of £5.69 = 3.76. Multitply 3.76 x 100 to gve the percentage increase of 376%)
I can cope with that.. Sure beats an increase at any job.
I also continue to earn a recurring income on a previous sale of one wordpress goldmine referral, and a second referral who has taken the $1 trial and who may upgrade if he sees the benefit in all of this, so that came in at:
WPGM: £6.89
So overall passive income was £27.09 + £6.89 = £33.98
I also did 3 “sales page” writing contracts earning good 3 figure amounts, but I don’t want to include that, as I am tracking “passive income” with a strict focus on the 3 major ones of Adsense, Clickbank and Amazon (for now)
That concludes my “no effort” month (sorry had to put that in because it’s quite funny that I’ve earned even when I’ve not been working on them – imagine if I HAD BEEN!)
Anyway once this month of April has been dealt with and I’ve gotten over all the offline things I need to do I am hoping to start seeing some pretty big jumps in income.
As noted above, I am focusing on the 3 main totally passive opportunities of adsense, clickbank and amazon, but I will also report in the earnings from additional sources.
I am not sure if the nice clickbank sale was a fluke or is likely to continue but I sure intend to see things go in the right direction.

Well, as per the past few weeks, I am not building sites for a week or 2 more due to getting some offline commitments finished.
The good news is that money KEEPS COMING IN.
All I need to do is ramp up the amout of site building I’ve done, which thankfully I will be doing in huge amounts within the next few weeks once I’ve caught up.
I’ve made around 20p a day in adsense the past few days, every day, plus gained a new referral at wordpress goldmine.
This is one of just 5 main sites.
When Im ready to start pushing I’ll be able to do 1-2 sites a day, so its only going to be a week or two before it turns into £1 a day, and then upwards.
I like wordpress goldmine, as if you couldnt tell. Its the one thing that Ive ever done online, that is “proper and decent” and set to last long term.
I’ll post a monthly update tomorrow.

Progress Update – Sunday 28th March 2010
Well I was going to leave progress update posting for a few weeks until I get fuilly into the swing of building sites after Ive dealt with a few offline items.
I wanted to say that I was just checking on earnings and realised I had a sale on clickbank back on the 8th March earning me just over $25 – what a nice surprise!
Also on my other site I co-own (free-mobile-content.com) we had a record adsense earnings day of £2.30 – lol you may laugh but its a nice bit of change for building a site once, and it covers the hosting so all is on the up.
This month is going to be a nice push upwards from previous months.
The sale was for a product I mentioned on the page entitled get site indexed by google.
Its nice when this happens, and its even nicer that I am starting to see money trickle in from 3 sources now – amazon, adsense and clickbank.
I cant wait to see how things jump when I start the big push in a few weeks.
Im definitely going to be doing product related sites the same time as adsense based site – earning $25 is far better than 25 cents 
Anyway from the stats from yesterday I earned
adsense: £0.17
Clickbank £16
Amazon £0.00
Wow just looking at that.. this is absolutely VERY ENCOURAGING…. £40 to £60 a day covers wages in most cases, so all I need is 3 sales a day and, well all is looking pretty darned good!

Well today is officially my LAST full time day at my regular job. I do believe a celebrationary drink will be insisted upon by the rest of my colleagues after work
Even with virtually ZERO site building work done the last few weeks money still comes in, and from various sources.
Adsense: £0.00
Amazon: £1.66 (nice)
Clickbank : £0.00
Now, the actual figures at the moment are small.. oh yeah.. but money comes in all the time and this is just on a very small handful; of sites (6).
When I have eventually built for example 1000 times this number (even if it took 2-3 years) this would equate to an average of $100 USD a day with days going up to $500+ a day… sounding better?
The method works.
I’m on the right track for sure as each month supercedes the previous one so far in terms of earnings, and even with little effort done this month it’s a nice and warm gooey feeling!
For the month to date adsense has gone to: £6.34 with amazon in at £3.33 amnd its not even quite yet at the month end, so £9.67 all in – not bad for only 1 weeks work out of the month, and February was only £4.88 all in so it’s almost going to double it. I can cope with growth like that.
If you factor in my writing too, Ive earned $$125, plus $125 plus $20 plus $100 plus $50 plus $10 affiliate commissions of wpgoldmine.
So $430 plus the site buildings passive income $14 = $444 for the month… not too shabby.
However this site is mainly concerned about passive site building but Im happy to show other earnings where applicable.
Other news, I’ve downloaded and installed 2 new plugins to all my blogs. A “404 notifier” plugin and a “redirection” plugin. This sends me an email whenever I get a 404 error. I didn’t realise the value in these, but I sure do now. One guy using these realised he got a 70% jump in his adsense income for the month, and a 40% jump in his amazon earnings when he fixed the 404 errors, which are handled easily with these 2 plugins. get them!

As I am still dealing with completing the sale of my late father in laws house, as well as ongoing dealing with a few sales letters and writing tasks I’ve been set with I haven’t been able to update any site building tasks.. again.. argh!
Still I have to say that I am happy with how the sales lettes are coming out and people are recognising what I can do.. so thanks to everyone who has taken part, allowing me to do my best.
As for my 5 sites, well, I still get traffic, every day from them. Adsense reports that between all 5 sites there were just over 60 unique visitors.
I would have expected some clicks from that, but that’s ok
The free-mobile-content.com website myself and a colleague setup over a year ago happily chugs away and pops in around $1 to $1.50 every day now with no input from me. We still have grand visions for the site but it needs a serious 4 figure cash injection to modernise it.
Anyway, back to my sites, I need to drive more traffic for more terms and put more content on the sites and do more backlinking. It’s a simple solution, which I will be relishing and tackling more in the coming weeks once I go part time at work.. can’t wait

Working from home business
An ongoing update:
Here is my update in regards to my progress made for my involvement with WordPress Goldmine.
I have now been involved for 4 and a half months and to ay I am hooked is a real understatement.
I have NEVER EVER been this “hooked” about someone elses webite in my whole life. Sorry for the OMG moment there but it is actually true. Enough said huh.
Ok, the first site now occupies positions 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 on page 1 of Google. My mistake is that the first site was not greatly researched due to my inexperience in the beginning. – a Still good learning curve eh with a nice outcome, proving that what is taught does work and got me all those positions.
Ok, on to site 2. I’ve been pushing it hard all week long, creating backlinks to it.. and already the adsense revenue has started to see some interesting results so far. I’m just monitorng it right now, as I’m always wary of flukes, but what has happened is that I put in some effort and it has thus rewarded me.
The site has been hovering on page 2 of Google but page 1 of Yahoo and the average click value is betweem 40 cents and 50 cents.
The first night I got one click, and yesterday I have had 3 rather nice clicks finally pushing me over $1 for the day in adsense revenue.
Now all I am going to do is keep pushing for top positions and try to dominate the serps for all of the phrases people use.
I can only HEARTILY recommend WordPress Goldmine.(WordPress Goldmine)
Try out their $1 trial but then commit to at least 6 months to prove to yourself it works. No push from me, except my glowing recommendation of proof.
