Ok, it is almost christmas and things have progressed in my life, both for internet marketing and my personal life too.

I am now focused entirely on one site (my biggest earner) and am trying to get it’s earnings back up to what they were doing a few months ago.  From there I will be able to start outsourcing again and growing things far quicker.

The earnings havent yet risen, but this is where blind faith has to be taken into account.  I know this stuff works and so I simply carry on doing what I am meant to be doing because I know it will start to yield results soon.  This was my problem in the past, faith, and not having enough to keep at it, consistently.

Its a funny old game   If you’ve not yet bitten the bullet, I heartily recommend a look at wordpress goldmine.  Been there since October 2009.

I thought it would be good to mention something.  About 3 weeks ago my wife and I split up.  For a while I was extremely low, especially only seeing my kids half as much as what I was accustomed to.

Anyway, fast forward 3-4 weeks and I’m trying to rebuild my life.  I’ve taken up fitness and have managed to lose more than 14 pounds in weight and am determined to reinvent myself.  It also gives me a good feeling.

As for the internet marketing, well Ive not been able to face it at all since then, but I keep trying.  I keep checking in at my second home (wordpress goldmine) and am trying to keep up to date on things but I keep having up and down days.

I realize now that I NEED to make this stuff work, more than ever… not just for me, so I can buy anew home, but so I can buy myself more time, so I can take the kids to school, pick them up and be in their life as much as possible.   I also want to make myself a better proposition down the line, and this means getting regular income coming in, getting my website income well and truly UP and getting back on track with everything.  No more messing.

At some point I would want to meet someone new who also likes the things I do and see how that goes but for now, life is happening again, slowly but surely.

Thankfully the adsense income has continued to come in and a trickle of amazon and clickbank but not as much as it used to be because Ive not shown the attention I should have done.

I keep kicking myself for all the missed opportunities.  If I had pushed hard regardless I may well have been on 10 x what I am on now and living a full time income-life.

That’s the real kicker and what I want to address now…

I’m just trying to figure out a plan:

Quality content, outsourced marketing etc on a budget that I am going to stick to.

When I was spending $300 a month on content creation the income went up and up and up and the ride was amazing…  It got to about $70/day but then I needed the cash for other things, so that’s got to be the first thing to reinstate.

My role now is to get those keyword lists sorted out so I can send them to writers… lets get the good times going again.

Adsense earnings update for August 2011.

I just thought I’d like to say that already we’ve gone past last months earnings for Adsense,  Weirdly, the amazon and clickbank have dropped the past 3 months, probbaly due to Panda, but since that day I’ve been revisiting my sites and improving their on-page seo, and trying to turn them into real, honest and legitimate pieces of content.  Yes, I always attempt to edit all my content so it gains a good ranking, and I try to work on suitable keyword phrases, but the goal is always to provide good content.

I’ve not been wanting to showcase my actual earnings in recent months as I’ve been weighing up the ramifications of letting every man and his dog know what I earn.  I’m not so sure it’s always a good idea, not publicly anyway.  I have no problems in doing so privately, through the newsletter (you can sing up via the form in the left hand menu for free).

What I will say is that in the past 4 months I topped out at $1100 in a single month, with a strong mixture of promoting other products, software, and also the usual adsense, amazon and clickbank.

Ive been recently focusing heavily on adsense.  My best ever adsense was around £280 GBP, but I am happy to say this month surpassed that yesterday.  It’s kind of addictive, so I am pushing this more and more.  Im already £50 over that, so a new target has been hit, the £300 mark and also over £20 in a single day from adsense alone.

The key to the growth is through recent understandings since panda in May and onwards.

* Good quality content

* Good on-page seo

* LONG content length (2100 words minimum per post)

* Social backlinks

* Regular updated content – sites that sit stale for months will succumb eventually in my opinion.

Right now I am revisiting my top 25 sites (slowly) and slowly going through all the posts, normally 1 a day.  I expand the content to over 2100 words, make sure it is good quality content, and get the on-page seo right.  Quality is everything and if I cant make it useful to the visitors I wont write it.

By the way, I wrote an article on this site relating to a competition Mark has going in the WordPress Goldmine forum, to see who can rank for the phrase “fitness bootcamp” on page 1 by the end of October 2011.  Im goign against the grain, and have only done the on-page seo, and am not doing any backlinking or promotion to it at all, just to give a comparision, and see where things are on that date.  Chances are I’ll miss out because Ive not done any social backlinking but it may serve as useful somehow.

Internet Marketing – A Career For Life Perhaps?

I’m sure many people do Internet Marketing for very similar reasons – financial security, more relaxed and a better standard of life.  For some of us it can be hard to get motivated every day, and you find that you often become distracted with mundane stuff – checking emails, reading a WSO, checking over your favourite internet marketing forum, making a drink etc.  In fact when it comes to learning myu artform (aka internet marketing!) I am absolutely terrible and getting and staying focused.

Ive been on vacation this week.  Took the wife and kids to the seaside at sunny Ingoldmells on the east coast of the UK.  Ok it wasn’t sunny, apart from Thursday, but we enjoyed it.

Sitting on the beach, feeling the sand through your fingers and enjoying the waves coming in makes you feel really grateful for life. You tell yourself that you want more of this.

Internet Marketing – Getting Motivated

This is how it’s been for me, and right now I am more charged than ever. Ive written down a list of things I need to do, that have been accumulating in my mind. Changin to a VPS host, putting the w3 total cache with amazon s3 on all 45+ sites and testing out a theme which is supposed to convert at up to 12% for adsense.  I’ve got  a number of adsense sites which are 3% and 5% so this is going to be tried on those.  It would be nice to double or triple the adsense earnings, or even for an extra $100 a month – we shall see!

So if you are finding it hard to get motivated, why not go and touch the things which make life worth living.  It makes you wonder if this is what it takes to get you charged.  Feeling and touching the things in life which touch you.

Why not plan a day to the coast yourself – it doesnt have to be a hot day. In fact the beach is less cluttered with people when it’s not a hot day.  Just get up, go and take stock of life.

Why do I do internet marketing?

For peace of mind, and the satisfaction of knowing I did it.

I was responsible and I got the answers.

Life is right now.

I began doing Internet marketing in October 2009.  Prior to that I was this “big flash kid” who thought he knew about making money online.  I’d made a few thousand here and there, but it was all quick and random, nothing consistent.

These days, I “get it”.  The only reason I get it is because I stayed with it.  In the past if I hit a barrier I weould quit and do soemthing else or limp along and try to ignore it.  No these days.  I am in internet marketing for good.  Who knows what will happen down the line, or how things will pan out in 5, 10 years, but for now I am making it happen and intend to finance my life, paying my bills and saving money for the future.

It’s not been easy but thankfully I DO see the future, or at least a path it it.  I can honestly say it’s never looked as clear as it does now.

The motto here is “stick with it, no matter what”.  Do what is right, and what is legitimate.  Forget the get rich quick stuff.

My big picture.

For now my major first gola is £100 per day, passively coming in from my network of websites.  I’m not there yet but it’s going that way.  With that I get to do a lot of things.

When I am there, I intend to:

• Work 3-4 hours a day at best, more if I choose.
  
• Go to the Gym 3-4 times a week, staying at home takes its toll when you are inactive.
  
• Turn off the computer when the kids are at home, instead of “being distracted” and not giving them enough time and atttention – aka being a proper “dad”.
  
• Redecorate the whole house, with an entire makeover, bringing it right up to modern standards.  It’s nice now, but it’s nicer to keep on top of things.
  
• Save a little each day, it soon adds up to deal with the low days.

And that is it really, for now.  £100 a day replaces wages and enables life to begin.

At that stage I will continue to grow the traffic through content and links.

I’ve also been helping out a former boss for a few months who needs help to get caught up (why did I volunteer??).

Anyway.  If you didn’t know – find a phrase with people searching for it each month, check out the competition on page 1, write content using that phrase and wait for it to get indexed.

People always said “it’s not hard”, but it took me time for it to “sink in”.  I don’t care.  I remember when I first staretd this blog someone commented at my measly 30 cents earnings, they scoffed and thought it was pathetic.  Oh well.

If you want your life to improve, you’ve got to stop the impatience and the changing round.  Stick to one thing (preferably internet marketing) and give it 2 years commitment.  My WordPress Goldmine review explains what I do, and is the Only thing I have done since October 2009.

Better go, I’ve got content to write.

Smart Virtual Assistants Review

This is my own personal review of the Smart Virtual Assistants software for internet marketers.

This is a modular based software package that no internet marketer should be without if they want to get to their goals faster than ever before. 

This is something you have to see to believe.

This is going to blow you away!

Smart Virtual Assistants modular software for internet marketers

This software is designed by a full time internet marketer, for internet marketers.  Mark Thompson is the brains behind this and Mark has run his own work-from-home internet marketing business for more than 6 years now from his home in Spain.

Mark is the brains behind the ever so popular (and hugely loved by me), WordPress Goldmine.  It is only because I am so proud to be a part of it that I am recommending this software.

It is all down to WPGM that I can now say, I earn in the region of $1000 (as of today) a month, completely passively, each and every single month.

That is not a bad thing really.  So, when Mark announced he was going to be releasing this software, my ears and eyes pricked up because after seeing a sneak video of what it does I was hooked.

Smart Virtual Assistants

What is it?

Well.  It is a piece of software that is present on your computer – and this can be both a PC or a MAC (it uses Adobe AIR technology to make this possible).

It is a modular piece of software.  This means that there are several modules that form what it does.  It’s a little bit like a box of tricks.  Each trick performs something different.

Now, we are in a slightly advantageous stage at the moment (April 2011).  Modules are being added roughly every 6 weeks or so until it has enough modules (whenever Mark deems “enough” is actually “enough” is another thing, but there are 10-15 modules planned anyway).

The point is though that right now it’s really cheap, and with each new module addition Mark is increasing the price until the ceiling price is achieved.  For the first 50 copies it is supposed to be $27, but you will have to gauge the price based upon the point when you bought it. Oh, and Yes, it’s a one time fee!  

What will it do?

Mark is currently open to suggestions for any new module requests, and he is adding them to his whiteboard until the software is complete.  However until that time, let’s delve in and show you what all the fuss is about.

If you want to save a lot of time this is going to be putting a definitive smile on your face in a few moments from now.

Module 1: Backlink Check module.

You are seriously going to fall in love with this.

As you can see from the image (above), you can add details of your website URL, and the software will go off and retrieve all of your page and post URL’s and any other URL’s you may have.  It will also display how many backlinks each particular page has got. You can specify a color coding threshold in the settings menu (as well as allowing for individual thresholds for particular pages).

What does that mean?

Well, let’s assume you are happy with the fact that 25 backlinks to each page is good, 10 is poor and 5 is rubbish.  Set this up so that any pages with 25 backlinks (or more) will be colored Green (as shown).  Those with 10 are Amber/Yellow and those with less are in Red.

This means you can INSTANTLY SEE at a glance which pages need more backlink work doing to them.

No more having to retrieve data for all your sites, and pages from various bit’s of paper, spreadsheets and archived files.  It’s all there, right at your fingertips, saving you hours off of each day of activity.  This makes you a more productive person who can ultimately hit your targets far quicker.

None of us have got a lot of spare time, so any tool that can help must be tried and tested!   Now, where do you do your promotional work?  Where do you go and generate backlinks?  Do you write articls, develop vidoes?  Which sites do you use?  How on earth do you manage to track all of this?  Which sites do you last use and when and for what page of your site?  Oh.. and which of your dozens of sites was that upon?

See how confusing it can get very quickly if you have no organization?

You can soon lose the plot and get no work done. So, this Smart Virtual Assistants review shows that the software can sort all this out, easily.

Look at the image above and you can see various columns to the right of the URL’s.  These are fully editable and represent the backlink source you have utilized.  For instance, you may have a video on Youtube, or an Article in Ezinearticles, or you may have used the imautomator bookmarking service.  All you do is create one column for each of these and you are good to go.

Imagine that today is Tuesday and you’ve just done an article for Ezinearticles for one of your pages of your site.  Find the URL (either Amber or Red) and locate the column for Ezinearticles.  Click once in that column and today’s date will be set into it.

Good huh?

Now you know what you did and when.  Not only that you will quickly build up a picture of which particular backlink methods work more often than others.

All you will need to do is look at the Green URL’s and see if they are (for example) predominantly Ezinearticle articles.  Then you know you can work on more of these types of articles for a turbo boosted improvement in your website rankings. And all of this is module 1!

Summary of module 1:

This Smart Virtual Assistants module 1 is dsigjned to help you keep right on top of your backlinking and promotional efforts.  It has been designed to take out all of the time wasting, life sucking energy you start the day with and ensure you get right to the action, right away.

All you do is work on Amber or Red URL’s.   Remember you can also specify individual thresholds for various pages too.  This is a useful feature if one page of your site is working to rank for a competitive term.  Just adjust the individual threshold and it will remain on Red or Amber until the higher threshold for backlinks has been hit, before it goes to Green.

Module 2: Hyperlink maker. You are seriously going to fall in love with this additional time saver.   Many times when working, we need to develop a html hyperlink.  This module will quickly generate the extra hyperlink.  See the image below for further clarification:

Simply enter the URL you intend to link to, and the “anchor text” to be displayed on web pages, and choose if you want the link to be opened in a new window or not.  Then the code will be generated at the bottom once you’ve clicked on the “generate code” button. This simple function is something which is a great time saver for many people who hate writing anything in html, let alone getting it to work properly the first time round!  

Module 3: Not yet released – but a few tentative details….

We have been told inside WordPress Goldmine (see my review of WordPress Goldmine) that module 3 will be an income tracker.

You will be able to essentially be able to retrieve your current earnings at all the places you earn money from.  Avoid having to log into multiple websites time after time just to se if you’ve earned anything more.  Simply add the log in details to your computer/MAC based software and let it do all the hard work for you, so that you are given more time to do the important things in your business.

Hopefully you can see the value in this software. I am completely excited by it and intend to base most of my business around it. I believe it is going to save me a lot of time, especially as I have very little of it. 24 hours is just not enough in a day, lol!. Well, it’s that time again to put “pen to paper” and show how my Adsense, Amazon, Clickbank (etc). earnings have been progressing, so without further adieu, let’s get this party started.

I had this wild desire to hit $1500 this month – would ahve been nice, but then I essentially got dragged away from the PC for almost the whole month, so this has had an effect. Plus, last month I got a whopping $400 earnings commission for one person’s purchase via Amazon, which was a one-off. Last month was $1100, so really the relistic earnings was around $700. Let’s see how things have gone..

Adsense Income: £182.64 ($292.38 USD Equivalent) – (February was £160.37 ($256.73 USD Equivalent))

Clickbank earnings: £75.81 ($121.34 USD Equivalent) – (February was £58.55 ($93.71 USD Equivalent))

Amazon earnings:  £41.32 ($66.12 USD Equivalent) - (February was £265.69 ($425.11 USD Equivalent))

WPGM Affiliate Earnings: – £25.27 ($40.46 USD Equivalent) – (February was £12.79 ($20.48 USD Equivalent))

Other Affiliate Earnings: £187.42 ($300 USD Equivalent) – February was £174.94 ($280 USD Equivalent))

Total March earnings £512.46 ($819.75 USD Equivalent) – February AVERAGE earnings was (i.e. without the one off $400 commission) £422.34 (or $675.61 USD Equivalent)

That’s a £90.12 INCREASE over the previous month ($144.13 USD Equivalent).

How many jobs let you increase your monthly wage each month?  Oh, and how many jobs would say “Don’t bother coming in to work this month, and you can have a pay increase too“…

Hi again, in January 2011 I managed to hit $745 in overall earnings. This felt really rather special. It was suggested to me that perhaps I should aim high for February and see if I could break the magic 4 figure income…

I did…

I actually earned $1123.35 overall and breaking this barrier really is rather special. Part of this came from a huge $400 commission from amazon when someone ordered 50 e-book readers… yep….!

Seriously, if I can do it, anybody can do it. The key is never give up, keep asking questions and ACT on the answers… respect others and their opinions and thank those who have helped you get to where you are.

I have asked for help from a lot of people and a lot of people have helped me and it’s paid off. I’ve probably pissed off a few people along the way, but the way I see things, is that it doesn’t always sink in for me in the written form (short attention span) but one on one works extremely well.. the one on one sessions Ive done with folks via PM, via instant messenger and in-person have most definitely been the major triggers.

Onwards and upwards.. Im aiming for $1500 for March, but I am also aware that I may not get a $400 commision like before, so it could well be $700 again.. however on a positive note, I have started doing 2 sets of ezarticlelinks on each of my top 5 sites – and I am goign to build them up to around 10 a site and re-evaluate.
Ive also got sites stewing in linxboss as well, so hoping to see that rub off in the not to distant future.

Anyway, thats it for this update. All Ive learned has been from wordpress goldmine – there is a link in the sidebar if you’d like to take a trial and come and say hi to me – Ive been there since October 2009 now.. weird huh… you stick with something instead of jumping from opportunity to opportunity and guess what happens…
