So, most of you reading this will simply ask “how is it going”.. or “how much have you made”.. and of course because you want to do the same…
Does that mean I’m a guru now?
Nope.. and I don’t want to be..
I want to make my own money on my own steam and if I can help a few along the way then I will do.
So what am I doing?
I’m building a “real” proper authority website..
Each post takes between 1 and 5 weeks to produce.. so it’s slow going, but each posts is anywhere from 2000 to 8000 words in length.. although moving forward Im looking at keeping most to around 2000 to 3000 – as I don’t want to simply “add more and more” to bump up word counts…
Last month I posted that I had gotten a few sales… and so far this seems to be continuing…
In the main Ive made at least one sale every day apart from maybe 3 or 4 days.
This means that most days earnings have been anywhere from £2 to £15 with an average of between £5 and £8 Id say..
So in a nutshell..
Writing good long content, and writing a “top 10 review website”.
Ensuring good on page seo, and keeping social channels updated.
Along with a bucketful of elbow grease, and headphones and music on to stop me getting distracted.
So let’s look at progress..
Although I’m not yet earning substantial money, it is flowing in fairly regularly.
Traffic is moving in the right direction.
The last week or so of last month I earned around £70, and to date for the first 9 days of this month 12 items have been sold, to a lower value.
So the aim is to simply keep on..
With TIME will come domain authority (aka better rankings), with TIME will come more Google trust too.
Blogging is one of those journeys you need to “accept on faith” and start out by effectively doing it blind.. not knowing if it will pay off or not.
If you follow the right steps you will get there.. just have patience..
Ahrefs recently suggested things can take 6 months to 2 years for page 1 rankings unless you’re good at SEO… Thankfully Ive managed to get there quicker with good on page seo and providing the right content that will be kept up to date.
For me.. I’m happy with how things are going.
I took the self employed route 2 years ago when I became a full time gardener/lawn care service and its going very well however my passion for the online earnings is never going to go away hence why I am here learning and WRITING…
I feel optimistic that come Winter 2017 I can get earnings to around £40 to £70 per day instead of £5 per day, purely with the production of good content and the increase in Google trust etc.
By December 2017 that should equate to a wage replacement in it’s own right… that’s when the dream can be enjoyed… spending more quality time with the kids, being able to relax when it’s raining and cannot do gardening, being able to enjoy more holidays.. and so on..
What could 2018 and 2019 look like? #excitingtimesahead
